Rumbito

Rumbito was a project that deviated slightly from the wabi-sabi essence of the moabi hotel—although it remained the hotel bar—maintaining the use of materials that evoke naturalness and texture, such as wood and beige stucco. We sought to innovate with a unique floor design, creating a pattern of polychrome cement bands with contrasting circles in shades of terracotta, white, and beige, providing a distinctive aesthetic that would capture attention.

Textures and movement for a space for celebration

Polychrome flooring, a movable ceiling with suspended fabrics, and sturdy, adaptable furniture combine with architectural solutions—lockers, a communal shower, a separate jacuzzi—and terracotta and burnt red lighting to create an enveloping, dynamic atmosphere.

The ceiling at Rumbito became a special feature: multiple suspended fabrics allow the wind to pass through them during the day and create a magical effect with overhead lighting at night. This interplay of light and materials brings the space to life, offering a changing visual experience marked by the movement of air and light intensity.

Each piece of furniture was designed to be easy to move, resistant to sun and water, and functional in all conditions. We integrated a locker area, a communal sink, a shared shower, separate bathrooms, and a jacuzzi strategically located to maintain privacy without disconnecting from the general celebration.

The palette of terracotta and burnt red tones, aligned with the brand identity, reinforces the concept and envelops the space in a warm and vibrant atmosphere.
