House of the Sea

For this project, our challenge was to redefine the traditional aesthetic of a beach house, moving away from the conventional boho style toward a more daring and contemporary proposal.

The realization of this design highlights how a conscious approach can generate new types of housing, while maintaining a deep connection with the environment.

Redefining beachwear from a contemporary perspective

This project approaches beachfront living from a contemporary perspective, distancing itself from conventional aesthetics. The proposal integrates artisanal elements with an urban sensibility, seeking to establish a dialogue between the marine context and a timeless design.

The path we chose was a dialogue between warm and cool materials, responding both to the marine environment and to an urban vision of design. We combined handcrafted elements in wood and ceramics with decorative pieces in stone, creating contrasts that elevate the spatial experience without losing the connection to the land.

The furniture selected maintains our philosophy of timelessness: pieces that transcend the coastal context and could inhabit any climate, but which here acquire a particular personality. In the bedrooms, we opted for the serenity of traditional benches and fabrics, while in the social areas on the first floor, we allowed ourselves to be more daring, creating spaces that challenge the typical expectations of beach furniture.

The result is a house that honors its coastal location without limiting itself to expected codes, demonstrating that conscious design can create unique atmospheres in any context.
