Contemporary crafts: new releases from Diamantina & La Perla

The new pieces from Colombian brand Diamantina & La Perla range from a ceiling lamp to a traditional rocking chair.

With eight years in the market and showrooms in Medellín and Bogotá, the studio founded by sisters Daniela, Susana, and Marcela Mejía presents its new releases for 2021.

“Our pieces are designed detail by detail and manufactured by Colombian artisans,” explains Susana Mejía, the firm's designer.

New objects, same essence: sustainability and tradition

Diamantina & La Perla presents its 2021 launches: sustainable design pieces created with fine materials and crafted by Colombian artisans, combining tradition and modernity.

This year's new launches reflect the firm's commitment to sustainability, local craftsmanship, and timeless designs.

Among them are the Cantabria mirrors, made of oak and designed to be combined in different shapes and sizes, expanding and reflecting light in spaces. There is also the Baudó rocking chair, made of oak with natural fiber fabric and an upholstered seat, designed for corners where friends and family gather.

The Valenciana ceiling lamp, with an iron structure, electrostatic paint finish, and glass bubbles, offers various configurations to suit the personality of each user. Finally, the Eva side table, composed of two pieces at different heights, is a minimalist and lightweight object.

With these and other objects, Diamantina & La Perla reaffirms its quest to bring unique, functional, and vibrant designs to the market.
